Thank you WLOS ABC 13 for coming to visit Ms. Jones and her Kindergarten classroom at T.C. Henderson School of Science & Technology last week! News 13's "Thanks to Teachers" segment highlighted her amazing work as an educator and the positive impact she has on every student that walks through her doors. We got to see some of that excellent teaching in action on Wednesday as she used her voice, visual aids and Play-Doh to engage students in a story. Ms. Jones was nominated for the segment by the parent of two children who have both loved being in her class!

Transylvania County Schools has updated its Wireless Communication Device Policy to support a more focused and engaging learning environment for all students.
🔹 The updated policy will be in effect starting August 25, 2025

We would like to send you an update during this trying time, as wildfires have officially entered Transylvania County. Transylvania County School campuses are currently not in evacuation zones; therefore, they will remain open. We are in communication with Transylvania County Emergency Services and will continue to work with them to monitor the situation. As our county has been placed in a code purple, we have suspended all outdoor activities for students and will continue to make adjustments as needed. We understand that many of you have been impacted by these wildfires and we are here for you; please reach out to your child’s school for additional support.
